Gabriel Estay

Head instructor of ZENTRO Academy, Gabriel currently holds a 7th Dan rank in Taekwondo (Kukkiwon) and 7th Dan in Hapkido K.H.F.(Korean Hapkido Federation), 4th Dan in Kumdo (Australian Kumdo Society).

Gabriel has been training and teaching martial arts for over 30 years, he has conducted seminars nationally and internationally.

With a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture), Gabriel brings his specialised interest in pressure points and body-mind interaction into his teachings.

Gabriel believes that martial arts is not about fighting but about a way of life and living.

Gabriel teaches with a strong emphasis on character-development and his skill in self defence techniques, forms, sparring, weaponry and Ki (breathing) techniques ensure that students learn through a very com

prehensive training system.

Gavin Weston

Gavin Weston

Instructor Gavin Weston began learning martial arts over 20 years ago and is currently holds a 4th Dan Bo in Hapkido, 3rd Dan in Taekwondo and Cho Dan Bo in Kumdo.

Since starting his martial arts journey, Gavin has discovered a passion for Korean martial arts, and believes in its benefits of building discipline, confidence and respect. These are of key significance in improving the lives of anyone.

His experience as instructor at Zentro Academy has included working with students who have a variety of difficulties, including ADHA and Autism.

Gavin is a versatile insructor, who not only enjoys sharing the benefots of martial arts, but is also able to teach both children and adults with ease, and focuses on the needs of each student individually.

Lachlan Rowlands

Lachlan is the instructor at Zentro Academy’s Covert Hapkido School under the guidance Master Gabriel Estay.

Lachlan currently holds a 4th Dan Hapkido (Korea Hapkido Federation).

Lachlan has been training in the martial arts since early childhood which is reflected in his range of experience in varying styles. Discovering Hapkido’s eclectic all-round style in early 2000 Lachlan has been training in the Korean art ever since.

With a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Bachelor of Psychology Lachlan brings his understanding of Bio mechanics and interpersonal psychology into his teachings.

Lachlan believes that martial arts is a key tool in preparing oneself for life’s unexpected challenges both physical and mental. Lachlan teaches with an emphasis on cardiovascular fitness and street practical self defence based on hapkido’s fundamental principals. Lachlan teaches techniques honed from his competition, security industry and military experience which are tested and proven.
